Private beta terms
Test carefully. Share thoughtfully.
Version beta-terms-2026-07-27. These preliminary terms apply only to invited private-beta participants. Kinonicle is still under development, no payment is being collected, and these terms are not the final commercial agreement.
Invitation and access
Access is personal to the invited email address. Do not share sign-in codes, authenticator secrets or an unlocked family-space session with another person.
Information you contribute
Only contribute family information that you are permitted to share, particularly information about living people. Avoid unnecessary sensitive details.
Do not send a GEDCOM, photographs or information about living relatives by ordinary email. Use only the private upload features provided inside the family space.
Steward responsibilities
A family steward controls invitations, reviews proposed changes and can export the family record. Stewards should suspend access promptly when an account or email address may be compromised.
Testing and feedback
Participants may be asked to test sign-in, recovery, family-tree navigation, exports and mobile usability. Report unexpected access, missing records or security concerns without copying private family information into an unprotected message.
Service status
The beta may change, pause or experience errors. Keep an independent source copy of any GEDCOM used for testing. Kinonicle does not yet represent that the beta is suitable as a family’s only archival copy.
Leaving the beta
A participant may ask a steward to suspend their membership. Family export is available to an authenticated steward. Family-space closure and deletion remain managed beta operations until the self-service process is completed and reviewed.
